Santa Rosa Junior College ADN Spring 2015

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi,

I thought I would start a thread for Santa Rosa Junior College's ADN program for Spring 2015. I am thinking of accepting my offer for this program. Is anyone else going to Santa Rosa for spring 2015? :) I would love to meet my future classmates!

I do not work while going to school. It was definitely not possible my second semester. Med-Surg was too busy with prelabbing and skills labs. A few of my friends are working part time over the summer. I got into a BSN program so I won't be working like I had planned. I'll be starting my second year in the fall of my two year program.

Hi,how long will it take all together including the BSN?

Unfortunately evy2015 I did not get accepted. And the dissapointing part is that another school that I applied too also denied me so last friday was a very dissapointing day. But...on the bright side I still have two other schools PUC and Modesto that I am waiting to hear back from so please say a prayer that at least one of them accepts me. Did you get in at anywhere?

Okay, so this is how it works. You take one class for your BSN during the summer of your first year. Then, you take a second class during the summer of your second year. You graduate that May so techinically you now have a ADN and are applying/waiting to take your NCLEX. Next, during the fall you go full time for your BSN. Basically, you start "early" for your BSN. You could skip doing the summer classes and apply after you finish and it takes the same amount of time. The only difference is you have those two classes finished by the time you start full time for your BSN. It is called an early start BSN. I hope that makes sense. All programs are different but this is how the program I got into works. There are a lot of details I left out but this is the basic idea.

That sucks as1021 but seems to be more common than not. I have an amazing friend who didn't get in yet again. It is terrible because she is an awesome person and would be such an amazing nurse but there are so many people applying that it is difficult. I think she got on the wait list of two schools so she still could get in. I hope she does because like I said she is awesome! I hope you get in as well. I do know someone who applied 8xs before getting in. So keep the hope going!

Thank you sooo much Tsuki for your encouraging words. I truly appreciate it. The nursing programs and extremely impacted its very difficult to get in these days, unless I go to a private school and pay a million dollars just for my associates in nursing. But I will definietly keep the hope alive. Thanks again and best of luck to you in your nursing adventure.
