Santa Rosa Junior College ADN Spring 2015

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi,

I thought I would start a thread for Santa Rosa Junior College's ADN program for Spring 2015. I am thinking of accepting my offer for this program. Is anyone else going to Santa Rosa for spring 2015? :) I would love to meet my future classmates!

Thanks so much!! Jayllenn were you at the TEAS test? Did I miss meeting you?

I heard some girls saying they asked to be switched to fall. I literally hurried home and emailed the program director. She told me no promises but I'll put you on the wait list. I did not want to give up my Spring spot just in case I did not get in for fall. I got in really last minute and I had to rush to the orientation. I actually missed part of it because I had no idea I got in til the day of orientation. I was totally thrilled so I didn't care about the rushing. I saw 4 of my friends from pre-reqs so I was happy to see some familiar faces.

The other cool thing is if someone was on the waitlist to get in they now could have my Spring spot.

Now I just need to find some daycare and I'll be all set. If you have not seen the tentative schedule for fall you should check it out on Jennifer's page. It will give you an idea of what your hours will be come Spring. I was a little shocked by the very long days, but anything worth doing takes work. I hope to see you on campus!

Congrats Tsuki on getting on this Fall. Im hoping to get accepted next year as well.

Do you happen to have the program directors email address?

I just want to get in anywhere at this point, even if I have to drive far away, I just want to get accepted. I finally finished my pre reqs now its time to submit all my applications. I heard Santa Rosa JC admits approx 10 LVN students who are looking to bridge over so im praying thats true cause thats more then any other school :)

Here is contact information for the ADN program, that is what you were asking correct?

Santa Rosa Junior College: Health Sciences

If not here is the Vocational nursing contacts (LVN) Santa Rosa Junior College: Health Sciences

Since it is entrance by lottery everyone has the same chance. I only got moved up because I had already been accepted for spring and someone else must have accepted somewhere else or did not finish their requirements. My friend is still trying to get in as well. She was put on the alternates list. For what a friend told me she was wait listed last year and she had til spring semester before she had to re-apply. She did not get in but she got in this time and will be attending in fall with me. The thing that can be depressing about the SRJC is they get so many applicants, it really pure luck. I have two friends who have done the program and graduated (and are working) and two friends who just finished their first year. And 3 friends who are starting in the fall. I do wish you the best of luck!

thank you so much, and i wish you good luck as well in your nursing journey. Tsuki :)

Aww, you are too sweet! Thank you!

Jayllen I saw your pm but it won't let me respond since I don't have enough posts. I did write you back so maybe when I hit the posts it will send to you. I will say when you go to the Orientation they give you an add code to the class and that registers you for the semester. You do not sign up for classes or make your schedule they give it to you.

hello all,

ive applied to the spring semester 2015 adn program at srjc as well as their lvn to adn program. wondering how long did it take for srjc to notify all of you that you were selected for the program? did it take a long time like a few months or was the response time pretty quick? also did they call you to notify you all or did they send you an email or letter? thanks in advance for your help.

hey there, have you heard if you got accepted into SRJC or Mendo college yet?

They notify each program differently. For the normal ADN program they notify you in the summer around the end of May or in June. I think they send out initial acceptance letters then as people decline they send out more. After a certain date they must send out the alternates list.

As for as the LVN/Bridge I don't know since that lottery is different. Because you are an LVN you start at a different place as us ADN program people. I am assuming the LVN/ADN bridge program is only a year? Our ADN program is 2 years. I again know nothing about the LVN bridge.

I started this Fall and I am just hitting half way. You should all know soon because you have to have all your vaccines and documents and that takes time to get. Good luck everyone applying for the bridge I hope you all find out soon!

Hello everyone,

How is everyone liking their ADN program so far? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also if you could also state whether you are working while in school or not.

Thank you all
