Salem State University accelerated nursing summer 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Hey guys! I applied for Salem's accelerated program for the Summer 2017 start. We should be hearing back sometime next month. Just looking to see who else applied and more about you guys. Hope to hear from you!

I also applied! Admissions said they had just under 200 applicants this yearí ½í¸¬. What was your gpa? Also, do you have any classes still 'in progress'?

I finished all of my pre reqs with a 3.5 undergraduate in biology was a 2.9 scored an 80 on the TEAS i've been working as a CNA for a little over 2 years. How about you? I haven't received any emails or updates yet so i'm a little nervous about them getting all my materials

I only applied to programs that didn't want stupid test scores, I'm so glad they didn't ask for the TEAS. I have a 3.4 from my music degree, 3.8 in prerequisites, and less than a year of experience as a CNA in the state's largest hospital as a float. Sounds like you have a slight edge over me, I hope they really look at the statements and letters of recommendation, I could really use it! I'm finishing chemistry now and hope that doesn't hurt me either. The $25,000 price tag and length and start of this program make it my top choice!

sounds like you have the edge over me...the person I spoke to at Salem informed me that we did need the TEAS so I did send mine over...ate you sure we didn't need them?

thread moved for best response

where do i find it

Regina, SSU only requires TEAS if you are applying as a transfer student into their traditional bachelors program, not for that absn.

Im positive about this, that sounds frustrating though, but it certainly should only help you! Best of luck! Hope to meet you in May.

ooh okay the admissions woman i was emailing made it sound required but i guess it couldn't hurt. Good Luck!

Has anyone heard back yet?!?

Uuuugh!!!! NO!!!! :dead: What were your gpa's and experience/background mirandam711? Last year's cohort heard almost 2 weeks ago by now! I'm dying here!

I thought we weren't going to hear back until March
