Sac state nursing question

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello I was just wondering if anyone from Sac States nursing program would be able to give me some type of information on what is needed to be accepted. My final nursing GPA for this semester was around a 3.7 and I am losing my hope in getting into their program because it is so competitive but is there anyone who could give me some tips to better help myself raise my chances in even being thought about for admission?

Hi, they made it harder to get in last semester; the TEAS is worth less of your admission score. Did you take the TEAS already? You'll need a great score. You'll get around 30 points for your GPA. Have you thought of transferring into Sac State and retaking some of those classes? You will also NEED most of the optional criteria to be competitive (not so optional anymore). Minimum score is 60, but point cut-off is in the high 70s to low 80s. Even if you can't get into Sac State, get in somewhere. We need more nurses!

No, I have not taken the TEAS yet I am still needing to take chemistry prior to the exam. It's just very hard to keep a high confidence when the expectations keep increasing. I am looking into different nursing programs but I don't know which ones are a good option as far as being eligible to apply. Being a nurse is my dream career so I will not stop trying.

Hi I'm currently in the CSUS nursing program.

How many prereqs do you have left? And do you qualify for optional criteria?
