PLU BSN 2015-2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Hey Everyone,

I applied to PLU's BSN program for Fall 2015/Spring 2016. Who else has applied? I am finishing my last prerequisite next week (BIO CHEM). Just curious to see who else has applied and find people to wait it out with :)

Hi there! I applied for the next school year too. I am hoping to hear something next month :). Where did you take your prereqs at?

I applied, crossing my fingers!

I too have applied for the 2015-16 BSN Program. I will be finishing up my last two prerequisites this Spring quarter (BIO CHEM and STATS). I am here waiting it out as well. :geek:

Thats great everyone! Good luck. I am crossing my fingers too. I did most of my prereqs at Pierce College through the military program but some I did in TN and KY when my husband and I were stationed there. Finally finished my AA. What about y'all?

I hope we find out soon too. I am so anxious. I would have been in my 2nd semester at APSU if we were still in KY. Cant wait to finally get started. Anyone have a back up plan?

Biochem is fun and easy. Stats not so much. Good luck in both!

Hi biggestfanmom,

I am starting class tomorrow and already can not wait for it to be over lol. These prerequisites take so long to get through. I hope Biochemistry goes as smooth as yours sounds like it did. Stats on the other hand did not sound as glamorous though lol. I pray all goes well this quarter with my two last classes. What did you find easy about Biochemistry and not so much about Stats? Just curious so I can keep my eyes peeled. Thank you for your best wishes.

My friend found out last year around April 10th!! However, I think she had everything finished and top grades, many others did not get their acceptance until the summertime. The wait is going to kill me!

I found stats not bad at all, took it online. Chem seems fun but a lot of work-ugh. I cannot wait until the quarter is over!

Stats is so hard to explain. Its like math, but not at the same time. I honestly am not sure how to even explain it. Its not just numbers. You really have to peel apart the questions and data and come from an analytical direction with everything. Its very easy to plug numbers into the wrong place in a formula. Anyways, I took it in the classroom and not online and my class was 8 weeks because I did all of mine through the military program. So all my classes were 8 weeks. Not to mention we had 2 hours to go over all of the information and then try to go home remembering everything and come back two days later with our homework done. Normally that isn't a problem but with something like starts its a lot harder.

In my opinion, bio/organic chemistry was easier than intro to chemistry. Its pretty much all about bonding. I feel like all we did in that class was draw a ton of pictures of different compounds. As long as you understand the bonding concept and how different elements need a certain number of bonds to have a full valence shell you're gonna be good. Just my opinion though.

So UWMom, your friend is in the program now? What was her GPA? Do you know? Yes, the wait is going to be long. It's exciting though. I really hope that I am going to get in. I attached a couple of additional documents for them to consider. I attached my acceptance into APSU's BSN Program, Phi Theta Kappa membership, scholarship from PLU, and invitation for the Nursing Health and Delegation Trip. Plus, I am done with all prereqs and have AA in pre nursing from Pierce College. Did any of you have additional documents?

I was accepted!!! I received my letter over the weekend. My start date is Spring 2016. Anyone else get anything yet?

I applied as well, I am now taking Bio Chem and Statistics....what a nightmare. I too will be waiting with you.

Hi there! How many people have received a letter?? I'm still waiting. No news is good news? It's killing me.
