  1. Hi luccabell29, I look forward to meeting you as well, congrats on your acceptance!!!
  2. Congratulations Creamie & Lisbrow!!!! One never knows what the Good Lord has in store for you. The worst thing is to give up on yourself, so just keep on climbing because life is a journey and it is not easy. I have been where you are and have felt the emotions you are experiencing but do know there is light at the end of the tunnel. I applied to PLU three times, once back in 2015 and I was denied. Denied because I hadn't finished several pre/corequisites and so I was pushed down the list, considered noncompetitive. The second time I applied to PLU in 2016, I completed all pre/corequisites and was waitlisted. I wrote about my experience regarding the waitlist in previous messages above. This time around was my third attempt in 2017 and I was accepted. It has been such a long and emotional journey but you will get there as well, sometimes it is not our time and other times God is opening another door. It is painful and I am sorry but do know it is not over, never give up keep fighting till you make it. I am a testimony to you that I was shaken but never gave up, It just made me more determined to get in this time around. If you don't get in this time around apply again next year, that just may be your year! I know my message will not take away your stress, sadness, hopelessness, fear or the heaviness that you may hold in your heart but do know I have been there and there will be brighter days. God is Good, just keep the faith. Happy 4th to you ALL!!!!
  3. LUTE2021~ I sent you a PM, look forward to meeting you!
  4. Sdustin~ Best of Luck! Creamie~ You're welcome!
  5. Hi Creamie, Congratulations!!!!! Being on the waitlist means that you will be waiting for another accepted nursing student to either keep or drop there spot in the cohort. It can be nerve racking at times just the (not knowing) but you never know what is in store for you. Now from what I recall the school of nursing does not have the waitlisters in order by number so I'm unsure how the selection process for the waitlisters goes? All I know is that you have made it this far and were selected from a group of 400 applicants, that's definitely worth celebrating!!! If I can remember correctly, the allowment of perspective students on the waitlist was 20 when I was placed on the waitlist. This may have changed, I'm not sure? The school of nursing will keep in contact with you via email and or by mail so you wont need to worry, just monitor your email. I hope this could give you some peace of mind, I pray for your acceptance.
  6. Sdustin- Thank you so much!!! I sure hope your letter comes soon, I pray for your acceptance. ***Blessings***
  7. Hi all, I turned my letter of acceptance into the Nursing Department yesterday and was informed that I will begin spring semester. As an LPN with experience, I have completed requirements and do not need to take the Nursing 220 class. So hopefully we all will bridge in one way or the other and share in this wonderful cohort experience. See you all soon, inbox me if you'd like to chat. ***Stay Blessed!!!***
