Online Schools Accepted in NY

So I know I can go on NYSED to see accredited schools based in NY and the CCNE to see the national list of accredited schools. What I would like to know is: where I can find a list of online schools (RN to BSN) that are not located in NY, but offer degrees that will be accepted in NY. For example, U of Texas at Arlington is accredited, but I read somewhere that NYers can't apply because the degree is not accepted in NY. Is this even true and how can I find a reputable source of information that lists acceptable schools? I don't want to sign up for a program and then find out that I cannot use my degree in NY. Thank you for your help in advance...

I'm a bit confused. If you're already a licensed nurse, your state of residence doesn't have any relevance to any additional degrees. A nationally accredited (ACEN or CCNE + appropriate regional accreditation) program is "good" anywhere in the US. That's what 'national accreditation' means. If the degree is legit, it is legit in all states.

I'm confused too! I saw this on the University of Texas at Arlington site (Online RN to BSN | University of Texas at Arlington Online):

Residents of these states are not eligible to enroll in this program: Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina, New York, Tennessee and Washington. Students residing in these states who are currently enrolled in the program may continue without interruption.

Yet, the school is accredited by the CCNE : http://directory.ccnecommunity.org/reports/rptAccreditedPrograms_New.asp?state=TX&sFullName=Texas

What am I missing? Is it that they don't have regional NY accreditation and how can I vet other online schools to make sure.....?

But you are currently an RN? Because truly, what does it matter at this point if you are? The accreditation thing is important to sit for NCLEX and usually to get initially hired. It's your base program I guess is what I saying that really matters. If the initial school you went to was not accredited, that's where you have the issue. I'm not understanding why it's an issue now.

And maybe somebody can enlighten me here. I would think at this point, regional accreditation would matter if you wanted to transfer credits at this point.
