Does anyone know the average GPA for accepted students in the accelerated program?

I don't really think there is an average but I have seen threads where people got in with a 2.8-3.5 so hopefully GPA doesn't weigh in that much if you have a lot of experience in the field.

Hey guys,

So I sent in my application for NYU few days ago. I'm also waiting to hear back (hopefully with a positive reply). My prereq class grades are not that good...mostly B's. So I hope that doesn't affect my chances. I have volunteering hours as a medical assistant (somewhere near 200). Hopefully NYU sends out decisions soon.

@shahr I thought the decisions get posted in like July lol . I also have a few b's in my pre read but my gpa is pretty good lol. I haven't sent my application yet

Oh that's late! Lol but yea idk if my gpa is competitive enough...i have around a 3.2...im so nervous!

Haha. Right what other schools have you applied to if any?. Applications are due in March and I really want to get into columbia so I'm holding off on sending the nyu application until I get a notification from them.

I also applied to Stony Brook but yet to hear back... I'm hoping I can get a seat in NYU. And wow im sure Columbia is really competitive.

i applied to nyu, and i'm taking a 2 credit nutrition course now. do you think it'll make a difference since it's not 3 credits?

You will most likely need to find a 3 unit nutrition course. I don't think there are exceptions to the requirements for the pre-reqs. The reason why there are unit requirements is because once you finish your schooling and sit for your NCLEX, the BON requires a certain number of classes and a certain number of units before you can be licensed. I'm not exactly sure what the requirements are for NY but for my state we need to have completed a certain number of credits from social sciences, natural sciences, writing, comp and rhetoric, and public speaking before we can sit the exam.

You can see the requirements by going to the NY BON and seeing what their requirements are.

what if i've already been accepted, they should have seen on my transcript that the course was only 2 credits. do you think they would recusing my acceptance?
