Hi everybody!!

I'am a Oncology Nurse from Bern, Switzerland. I'am working on the Hämatology-Station (leucemia).I like my job and I would like to talk with others from around the world.

See you! Monique

Hi Monique,

I am an oncology nurse working on an inpatient general oncology unit - we see a little bit of everything. The hospital has a brand new outpatient cancer center, but the inpatient part is still going to remain where it is in the hospital.

Here is my cancer nursing web page: http://www.geocities.com/CollegePark/Union/1521/

Cheers,

Julie M.,RN

Hi Julie SN, could you tell me how you set-up your web sites and how do I get to them...I would love it. The info looks sooo interesting but I'm not computer fluent yet...my e-mail is [email protected], I'd appreciate any info.....thanks!

Hi Monique,

I'm a US educated nurse, are there opportunities to work in Switzerland? Do you know of any American hospitals or clinics? I also speak some French.

Thanks!

Hi Monique, Nice to meet you. I work as a Clinical Nurse Manager 11, on an Oncology/Haematology Day Unit in the West of Ireland. I would love to know more about the education system for Oncology nurses in Switzerland? Are you going to the ECCO conference in Paris at the end of this month?? 3 clinical nurse specialists and I are booked to attend and looking forward to it so much.

Hi Monique!

How are you? Are you still in Bern? I am from Quebec, practicing in the US in critical care and loving it. My cousin spent 1 year in Switzerland and got a very interesting education. I wish I had had the same opportunity!

May be one day, I will meet with other nurses (from other country) and visit their hospital. I know that it is very different from one country to the other.

I know also that there is some organized trip that network nurses too.

How independant are nurses in their practice in Switzerland? How long is your education to be a nurse? How are the working condition?
