Fatty liver from chemo

Hi everyone. I am an RN who finished chemo (8 cycles of Taxol and Carbo plus Doxil every other cycle) for ovarian cancer 2 months ago. I had a CT of abdomen and pelvis a month ago. It showed a fatty liver. My GYN oncologist said that chemo causes a fatty liver. Can anyone give me more details about this? I am a CDE and not familiar with all the side effects of chemo. Thanks.

The majority of the time it causes no problems. It can results from a myriad of factors but drug toxicity is a common cause. Sometimes is may cause scarring or hardening but as a rule, most of the time it causes no problems.
