Blood in stool

I know that this place is not for diagnosis but I need some general info. After having bright red blood blood in my stool for the second time in a week, having no other risk factors for colon cancer and no insurance, is this a run to the doctor thing or can it wait until december when I graduate and hopefully have a job? If this post is out of line I apologize.....just getting a little nervous here. I've got three kids at home and I want to do the responsible thing without putting my family at risk....
