OU Tulsa Traditional BSN Program

So, this is totally maybe not even kind of helpful, BUT I just had orientation at OU Tulsa for the ABSN program yesterday, and the woman in charge of orientation/everything else was telling us how busy a time of year this is for her office...in the list of things she said she had going on she included she had just finished acceptances for the traditional program! Maybe that means your letters are on the way? Or will be soon?

Hey, not sure if the dates are the same for the Tulsa campus as they are for OKC, but OUHSC site now saying we should receive letters by April 30th.

Where on the OUHSC site does it say that we'll receive our letters by April 30th? I can't seem to find it. Thanks.

I also emailed the Traditional BSN program coordinator approximately two weeks ago. She said that the committee would be reviewing the applications on April 7th. The dean would then have to review the admission decisions before the letters could be processed.

I wish they would send them already!!!

thanks! I was looking only at the prospective students page.

I'm new to the area so I'm not too sure if I will be accepted because of my out of state status. I received Oklahoma residency but as they review my application I'm sure they'll see that the pre-req's were taken in Florida and D.C. I saw the stats regarding GPA for the traditional program but I don't know how much weight they put on students from OU and surrounding schools. I'm finishing my last pre-req at OCCC so I'm hoping that will help my application. Guess I'll find out in a few days!

Welcome to Oklahoma! You'll like it here. I have heard that they do give preference to Oklahoma residents, so you shouldn't have any problems there. Did you also apply for the OU-OCCC collaborative program?

Thanks! My husband and I already love it here.

When I got here I found out about the OCCC Collaborative so hopefully they'll put my name in that category as well. I wasn't aware of it before the deadline so who knows. I had originally applied to the ABSN but because I was still completing two of the pre-req's and was out of state at the time, I was denied admissions. I hope this application goes better! I'm still finishing the last two pre-req's so I hope they are a little more lenient with the pre-req's for the traditional program.

Maybe so! I'm hoping that it'll give me another chance at admission if I am below the OUHSC cutoff. We shall see though!

It would be nice if we'd find out this week! It seems like forever since I submitted my application.

I just talked to ****** this afternoon...she says that the decisions are just starting to be put in the computer. She said that process can take a while, then they have to be proofed. They had hoped to send out letters the last week of April or the first week of May, but she sounded somewhat doubtful about that.
