Has anyone heard when acceptance or denials letters for OU's traditional BSN program will be sent? I am anxiously awaiting but not too optimistic as I am finishing micro and physiology now. I've heard even with a 4.0 I will probably have to wait until next year.
When I talked with the advisor last week at OU I was told two encouraging (hopefully!) facts. One, they did not take on as many alternates as they have in previous years, and two, July 1st is the deadline for accepted students to hold their slots. After July 1st they are going to rank those of us who are alternates and if people drop out or fail to reserve their spot, those of us alternates could get in depending of course on our individual ranks in the alternate list.
Have any of you heard anything about possible alternates being accepted? I spoke to the admissions counselor last week and she said that it doesn't look like anyone was going to drop and everyone had their books purchased. I don't know how long before someone drops that they'll admit the alternates (1 week after school has started or 2??) Waiting is frustrating!! Hopefully we'll hear good news!
I'm an alternate for the OU-OKC campus, and I honestly don't think that they are going to admit anyone else. I would LOVE to be proven wrong on this though! I kept hoping that my phone would ring today and that they would have a spot available. I started a CNA class today, and I kept thinking about the other students starting. I wonder how many people will drop; I would have LOVED to have taken their spot. However, everything happens for a reason!

That's good to know. I'm going in next week to talk with the advisors (OKC campus) about my options, and I'm hoping they'll let me know where I am on the list.
