OU nursing Acceptance

U.S.A. Oklahoma

Published

Hi! Does anyone know when they will send out the acceptance letters for the OU traditional nursing program? The woman that I spoke with at OU had said thatshe thought it was March, but was not sure. I just wonderedif anyone else had any information. Thanks!!

I am missing statistics, upper division class, and about 9 credit hours to make up the 67 hours.

I was missing Developmental Psych, Human Physiology, and an Upper Level Non-Western Culture class. I am currently enrolled in the Developmental Psych and Human Physiology. I was planning to take my upper level non-western culture class this summer.

Thanks! that would be great if you could find anymore info Beth001!! Good luck to everyone!

I finally received my letter. I got accepted at the Tulsa campus!:w00t:

Congrats Honeydawn!

If you have any questions or just want a few pointers, pm me. I was so excited when I got my acceptance letter last year...but it quickly turned into "Holy crap, what did I get myself into?!" I've found that it's much easier if you can find a friend along the way who has been there and done that.

I was accepted at the Tulsa campus also.

I was accepted into the TCC-OU Collaborative program! :roll

Congrats to you bapebbles and honeydawn! Like Gecko27 said it is so exciting and scary at the same time.

Sorry for all of you who didn't get in. :(

Is anyone going to the open house for the Oklahoma City campus next Saturday, April 25th? Has anyone received a followup letter stating what is going on at the open house? They said that another letter would be sent out with the agenda but I haven't received it so I was just curious. Has anyone from the accelerated program starting June 1st already ordered their books or anything?

The college I teach in has stopped participating in the 1+1 program since many of those students are not successful in the RN program. The LPN program does not teach the same things as the first year of a traditional nursing program of an Associate degree nurse. After the first year of the traditional program you can take the LPN licensure exam. Just a thought before you you go on this route.

Thanks for the info Goodoldnurse on the 1+1 program!! I have been going back and forth thinking if I should do that or not?I feel like just giving up on nursing, because I have applied to OU didn't get accepted, OCCC fast track 9month program didn't get accepted. Now I am still waiting on osu-okc's letter for fall 2009 semester. So, will see??? I am thinking just keep applying everywhere and anywhere until I get in...

Don't forget these are not the only programs. I would not recommend Platt (accreditation problems) but do look into the other programs around the city and surrounding area. If you wish to wait for one of these programs, use this time to get your other prerequisites completed. People are not told how much time the nursing out of your life. It is all consuming!

Best wishes for your journey!
