That sounds so promising Denii23! Good for you. Which campuses are you applying to?

I am only applying to Tulsa. I really wanted to apply to all campuses, but my husband doesn't think it makes sense for us to move for my schooling, since his job is in Tulsa and he's paying the bills right now. It's a huge disappointment because I feel like my chances are so much slimmer with only applying to one campus. If it were up to me, I'd apply to every program I qualified for in the country lol. I am so ready to get started.

Definitely all we can do is try. I am expecting to be waitlisted, but if I can end this semester with A's then I think I should be a sure in for next year if nothing else. Just don't want to wait that long.

I totally understand and I'm in the same boat as you. My only saving grace is that my husband travels so much and can work remotely. Plus we are kid-free and are looking for a change so we are happy to move. Not that Oklahoma is where I want to spend the rest of my life but we are looking for a change of pace/scenery. I'm applying to quite a few schools (to maximize my options) and boy do the application fee's add up. I feel like this year is my one shot because I'm like you, I don't want to wait another full year to apply again.

I think you'll be just fine! If I recall correctly, the Tulsa campus takes nearly the same amount of students, maybe just a few less than OKC.

When it comes to my OU chances, I don't feel like they're great. My last 60 hours were middle of the road but my prerequisites are good. I did all I can do and its up to the universe now. Who knows, maybe we will be classmates in Tulsa soon! :) :)

I'm applying to the Tulsa and OKC campus but Tulsa is my first choice. I go to NSU in Tahlequah and all of my family lives near Tulsa so that's why its my first choice. I don't really know the OKC area well and I'm not sure how I would adjust to moving to such a large area..

What schools are you guys applying to? I'm narrowing my choices down right now so I don't have to apply to more than 5 schools.

I just applied to the OKC campus and I am super nervous. I have a GPA of 3.8 for last 60 and a 3.5 science. But, I have a lot of courses still in the works - 16 hours of prerequisites. So, I'm not feeling too hopeful, but we'll see!

Also, to the OP, I believe they don't care about your cumulative GPA for all coursework. It's only the last 60 hours and science prerequisites they consider. Since you think you will have a 4.0 for both, you are doing great!!

Your GPA is great and much higher than mine! I think you'll be just fine!

Hi everyone!

I also applied to the program for Tulsa. There's still about a month wait for decisions to go out and I am getting really nervous. I had a really bad first year in undergrad so my GPA still reflects that because they were science courses. However, all my last 60s were mostly A's. I have a BS in Cellular and Molecular Biology and minor in Chemistry. I really hope I get in! Good Luck everyone!

Had not planned on commenting, but I know when I began looking at programs last year, I was thankful to those that posted their GPAs. I was then able to follow up with those that commented after announcements had been made to see where I might stack up.

I graduated with a degree in marketing in 2007 and finally pulled the trigger last fall and began taking my prerequisites that I have been missing to be able to apply to OU's ABSN program. I'm currently taking my last pre-req, physiology, and I've applied to programs in this order 1) OKC 2) Tulsa 3) Lawton.

Last 60 GPA: 3.4

Science GPA: 3.42

Cumulative GPA: 2.96

I have been working hard after going back to school while working full time and can't necessarily change that freshman year in 2003 but have been proud of myself for attempting this. Good luck, everyone.

I am reapplying for my second time to the OKC campus, and am hoping I will be successful this go around. I was missing 3 of my sciences courses last year when I applied and was able to bring my GPA up with them. My last 60 is like a 3.9 and my science is a 3.6. I applied the first day the app opened, so this waiting game is killing me. Last year we found out on November 16th last year, which was right on track with what old application cycles had told me. So we've got a little under 2 months to go! Good luck to everybody!

I am also still lacking three sciences. We're you waitlisted or rejected? Do you know what your gpa were when you applied last year? I assumed I'd get waitlisted but just curious. Thanks

I was waitlisted. I believe my last 60 was closer to a 3.6 or 3.7 and my science was like a 3.5? Hard for me to remember haha. I've heard people get in off the waitlist frequently, so don't let it discourage you if you do get waitlisted
