hospital scholarship

U.S.A. Oklahoma

I completed my requirements to get into nursing school, and applied to get into the RSU nursing program for Aug. 2008. I was looking at Saint Francis and St. Johns website and saw the scholarship information.I guess my question is have any of you used the scholarship or heard anything about it. I need as much help as I can get financially and thought this sounded great. Do you guys think it would be dumb to take the scholarship if offered, because you have to work 6 months for every semester. do you think they will pay you less? Last but not least does anyone know how much they cover?

Thanks in Advance

One of my co-workers was on scholarship for St Francis for nursing schools, and she says it is the worst decision she has ever made. She stated she hated working for St Francis because of the snooty attitudes through out management.

You may just want to get Pell and Loans and then get a sign-on bonus at your company of choice when you graduate.

I just signed up for the St. Johns scholarship and they pay $1500 each semester. ( with a two year agreement.)They also have the reembersment program if you are not sure of what hospital you want to goto. If you go on the Sf and SJ website, there should be some info there. Hope this helps.
