Has anyone had to take this course? Anyone else going to be taking it this summer?

I will be taking it 2nd summer from July to August.

Darn, I was hoping to find someone taking it 1st Summer. I'll let you know how it goes.

Has anyone taken this class before? Do you really need the second book, the why college kids drink? or whatever it's called?

I didn't order it and the class starts next week. Should I pay for 2day delivery?

I am also taking it this summer first session I was hoping to find out how the case load is! I am also taking the junior comp class refered to as buisness communications has anyone taken it? I am wondering how the workload is for that class as well since I will be in both of them at the same time

Hi, glad to know I'm not taking this alone this summer. I have no idea of what to expect. There are som older threads about the Junior Comp classes that might give you some insights.

SOC 1000 is now open on Blackboard, ( note says blackboard is unavailable today and tomorrow, but I was able to view the DB questions and syllabus). Let the fun begin!

I emialed the professor, and there is no APA requirement for Soc 1000... YEAH!! :D

After Global Health last time, this should be a breeze.

Got full points on my first DB. In case anyone looks back to read about this course, I find it pretty easy. Generally one DB per week or every 10 days. Reading 3-4 chapters and a few extra articles. 2 exams, not proctored and no time limit. And I must say, the professor (VV) is very reasonable. He is willing to work with me, as I am going to have surgery in a couple of weeks. Such a relief after the last course I took.

Now at Mid term point. I have gotten full points on all DB's. It is such a relief not to stress over the format,( no required format, just be sure to reference anything you use) and can concentrate all the time on content. I am actually learning something that I can apply to my life.

I wish this was in the 5 week format, it could be done easily in 5 weeks.( of course the intensity of work would go up) 4 more weeks to go.

Time to take the mid term exam. Is worth 50 points, and is all Multiple choice, no time limit. I'll post how I did.

exam was not bad, took one hour. A couple of tricky questions. Got 3 wrong. I can live with that.

Good for you Mary! You inspire me so much! You've been working hard and glad you did well!
