I finished that paper! I touched on every subject and did the best I could. I see that next week is looking a little less stressful which I am grateful for! Good luck everyone!:yelclap:

Week 3 does look lighter. Very happy! That paper took me a long time to complete. I guess since it has been so long since I have had to write one. Hopefully I will get a little faster. Thank you Cincinursemary, for all of your kind and reassuring posts. You are wonderful!

Hang in there folks. The first 2 weeks of this course I thought I was going to die.... but it did get a bit easier after the 3rd week. APA is a pain, but it will start to become familiar. After all said and done, I got an A. So, if an old goat can do it, anyone can.
And remember this is a combined course, so you get credit for 2 of the old couses and have one less to take than before semesters.

Thank you so much for the encouraging words. I think I am dying. Are the other courses also writing, writing, writing? If so i guess i am just gonna give up--otherwise i will try to at least get a passing grade this course. I had aimed higher but i don't think it's gonna happen for me!!!

I'm going to assume all the classes are like this one. The papers are a pain but maybe they will be better than the last one we wrote. That was a nightmare!

It is a lot of writing. Some courses have more papers , some have discussion boards and some have quizzes. I am sure you will be able to handle it. If I can, anyone can. Don't give up.

gigidan, don't give up! I feel overwhelmed too. In fact, I am fairly certain i have been swallowed by my computer. (and i hate computers)!!! We can do this! Just think, we are already halfway done with our first class!

What a difference a week makes! The reading this week is kind of interesting, the discussion questions are focused and have a point. I hope the next two weeks are like this. That paper for week 2 was horrible!

So I'm confused... We cannot post discussion board replies on the same day or we will lose points? Did you see this announcement? The syllabus does not mention this. What's the point of having the deadline if your responses can't be posted on the same day?

I responded to two yesterday, one for each topic. I feel like you can post your originals on the same day as others just so that when you respond to the topic, make them on different days. Ask it on the question and answer section on bb, usually the TA answers

It was in the weekly announcements that they would take points off if you posted your responses the same day. I did the same as bushrn75, I posted both original assignments on the same day. That should be fine because it is two different threads. They just don't want you to wait and post all responses at the same time. It prevents the thread from being continuous.

Anybody want to comment on grading for last weeks "big paper" I made the same APA error 4 times (not realizing it was an error) and I got a point taken off each time! So even though she said I covered all points and writing was good I got 16/20. So discouraged...
