Letter to State board of nursing.

Hello, Have any of my fellow nurses here had to write a response letter to state? It has been alleged that I gave a medication with out a dr order?? I did NOT, but I am freaking out....How do I respond to the request from state? I did contact a lawyer, but I am not even sure where to start with my response for review. Any advice anyone? I am so afraid of loosing my license. :crying2:

I would not do anything without the advice of an attorney. You can google nurse attorneys on the internet and find one that is experienced in taking care of nursing issues. I would never deal with the board without an attorney to guide me every step of the way.

If you are dealing with the board then you are involved in a situation that can result in you losing your license and not being able to work as a nurse again. Don't try to do this alone. You may feel that you don't have the money for an attorney, but when you weigh that against losing your career then you understand the gravity of the situation.
