Job Offers During Clinicals

While I was in the interview for CSU's accelerated BSN program someone asked about job placement after graduation and the professor said a lot of kids already have jobs lined up before graduating. Is this true? If so what are some tips while in clinicals in order to be offered a job?

It probably happens during their capstone (final semester). You are one on one with a preceptor and if you impress the manager and there is an opening, they may keep you there after graduation since they know you, you have been training on the unit, and don't need an orientation and can do the job from day 1 of hire.

I knew a girl who had a job as an extern on the weekend while is NS. She was basically like an intern but she was being paid.

I see. Hopefully I can acheive that during my capstone for one of the Cleveland hospitals. If not I may have to look out of city or out of state.
