Hospital Systems in Central Ohio

U.S.A. Ohio

For all you current nurses/medical personnel in the Central Ohio area, which hospital system would be the most new-grad friendly? Also, is there incentive for working in a non RN position prior to getting hired on as an RN (like while in school)?

Yes. The more experience you have in the healthcare field, the more your application will stand out. Look at nursing externship programs for nursing students as well. OSU has a SNA position which is basically a nurse aide for nursing students.

When I worked at OhioHealth, they had stopped hiring new grads. I'm not sure if this was a temporary or more permanent change. I know multiple friends that have gotten hired at Mt Carmel as new grads and OSU has a lot of residencies for new grads to get into specialty nursing fields.

Thanks for the info :)
