Cleveland Clinic orientation exam questions?...

U.S.A. Ohio

hi,

i'm starting my cleveland clinic orientation soon and will be taking the PBDS assessment and their METI eDose math exam. I would really appreciate some feedback. how hard did you find the tests? any tips on what to study?

for the PBDS i am studying the main med/surg emergencies and their interventions.

for the drug calculation test i'm using a reference guide and doing practice questions, but this exam worries me the most as i have to get 90%. any tips would be greatly appreciated!

lastly, i was told we get the chance to retest again for these exams, do you know if many people do not pass the first time? and how soon would you be retested?

thanks!

The medication test is super basic. There's really no way to study for the behavioral part. Know how to identity and measure rhythms. The pbds test is the hardest part but you really can't fail, if you don't do well you have to take it again after orientation is over. It shows you a short video of a patient and you have to write out your assessment, the diagnosis, and plan of care including physicians orders, tests, labs, medications and nursing interventions. It asks about 7 or 8 different videos if I remember correct. And it's timed but it's about quality not quantity they want to see complete knowledge rather than every one done and not fully addressed. Good luck!

I'm so nervous about the math portion. I made it through med math in school. I just never like math peroid. I pray I pass this math test with a 90 or above. ^^ above poster says it's super easy I'm hoping your right.

It is super easy, you will laugh hat ou stressed it so much afterwards
