Cleveland Clinic New Grad Hiring Event

U.S.A. Ohio

Published

Hi, I was invited to attend a New Graduate Hiring Event at the Cleveland Clinic. I was told to expect to be there for 1.5-2 hours.

Have you been to one of these events? What can I expect? What's the process like? Do I need more than three copies of my resume? Will I potentially be offered a job on the spot? Is there a math test or any other assessments on the day of the event?

Possibly on the same topic, if I interview at the event, will it be with specific units/floors? If so, will they ask specific knowledge based questions that I should brush up on before the interview or is it more behavior based?

Thank you!!!

Sorry for the late response. I've been to their hiring event before. I was really nervous, but it ended up not being bad at all. A bunch of new grads are with you and someone will explain the residency program to you before you interview. Interviews are done at tables with a nurse recruiter and the questions are pretty generic. A lot of behavioral questions.

Then they ask about what specialties you enjoyed and disliked (medsurg, peds, ICU, psych, etc) and what shifts you prefer.

After you are sent away to another room for a bit, they will bring you back and most likely offer a second interview within the Cleveland clinic somewhere. It was a really good experience--I'm assuming you probably already went?

I did. I went Tuesday, was offered an interview in Cardiac Step Down at Main, interviewed Wednesday and was offered the job yesterday!

I am still waiting for my ATT, though, so I'll start probably in early March.

Thanks for your reply, at least it's here when someone else looks for it. My experience was exactly what you described :)

Specializes in Cardiology.
