Anyone from Ohio know about capital University Accelerated BSN??

Thanks for your input. Anyone know if Capital has a reputation for being religious? I do NOT want that, although I know it's a Lutheran owned university. Any other comments good or bad? I need to decide in a few days!! Any living area ideas for students that would be nice and with other young people not all families? Thanks everyone...

German Village, Brewery District, or Arena District are filled with young professionals. I've lived in all 3.

The Short North is a great fun area for young adults. Be careful going near east or near west of downtown.

Cap doesn't have a reputation as a religious school. I know of nothing philosophy-wise that would indicate that to an outsider.

Nothing against homosexuals, but the Short North is filled with them. San Francisco has highest population in the country, but the Short North has the densest population in the country. It is a really fun area, but just a FYI!! There are some weird things that go on down there sometimes.

There are some areas that are close to the interstate that are about a mile south of Capital University as well. There are several apartment complexes that look pretty nice. You may also be able to rent in Bexly (the suburb where Capital is located) however you would probably need to have several roommates for that to be pratical.

Does it make any sense to live closer to Ohio State? Not sure how far away from Capital that is? Or find an area closer to capital that's good for students and youn professionals?

OSU Campus area is not too far from Capital University. However, that being said going from OSU campus to Capital can be interesting depending on the time of day. There are definately more housing choices around OSU campus but you need to be more careful on where you chose to live. There are pockets of pretty dicey areas, and often times, parking is a pain in the rear.

You are going to pay a premium to live in the Brewery District, Short North, Arena District, or Grandview which is not far from OSU campus. If you want to be able to walk to class, you are better off looking around Bexley.

any suggestions how to safely find a roomate that is either a college student or young new working professional? Capital doesn't seem to have any housing connections like some universities do?? Thanks

I found my roommate on Craigslist, actually. Luckily, with Facebook, you can "stalk" someone before you meet them to find out they are legit :)
