    There are a people of Mennonite descent where I live. There are also quite a few people named. Peter Dyck (pronounced dick).

    I used to know a guy whose name was Epiphany. We called him Pif for short.

    Twin girls were named "Melody" and "Lyric" because their parents loved music. I think the names are cute if unusual.

    I worked in peds for 5 years and saw all of these:
    Ocean-for a boy
    Aja- sounds like Asia
    Nimrodd-yes as in you nimrodd
    Shithead- sounds like SHA-tied, I had to ask how to say the name cause no one else would!
    Dick- NOT Richard, last name.... Long, chart name Long, Dick
    Erin, Erron, Eucial- triplets
    Erin, Enid- not bad you say? Last name Clair. Dad wanted "all little eclairs"
    Pepsee and Kohla- twins pronounced as Pepsi Cola
    Some times ya just gotta wonder about drugs at delivery.

    I work with a woman whose 21 year old daughter is named Aja. I thought it was one of a kind...guess not!

    I know of someone who was named Margarita Vaca...sounds like her parents had a few to drink when she was conceived, huh?

    I've seen some strange ones, and I remember one pt's that I had to practice saying with a straight face before I could go in there. Mercifully, I've forgotten it. :chuckle

    We had a pt in the ER, a child named Malik Butts. I know they pronouce it May Leek (like what, their diaper???), but it looks like May Lick Butts!!! We also have a big white male pt named Tiny O'Rear!! Well, tiny, it is NOT!!
