It has been soooo long since I took OB.

My daughter is expecting on Aug. 8th. To day her OB told she 75% effaced and 2cm dilated. I think that means she is more likely to deliver early or on time than late. I am not sure. One week ago a sonogram showed the baby to be 5 lbs 9ozs. Everything is normal, normal, normal.

Sorry to say this but; that alone tells me NOTHING about when she will deliver ---could be early

could be 2 weeks late

especially if this is her first baby. MANY women walk around effaced and dilated for WEEKS before going into natural labor. IT *does* sound promising, though when the time comes to WANT to have the baby. Effacment is favorable to further dilation and progress.

I hope her delivery is without complication and both mom and baby are healthy. Best wishes.

It sounds like her body is getting ready, but you never know how long it could take. It could take 2 weeks or she could go into labor tomorrow. I've known people who've walked around dialated for weeks and I've known some who had no signs of labor have their water break spontaneously. Ya just never know :-)

I wrote this original message on 7/15. She delivered health female infant 6'15" today 7/31 at 9:08am. Mother and baby doing fine. So it was slightly more than two weeks. It went fast.

Hooray!!!!

Congratulations Oramar!!!!!!!!
