Geez.....bleeding again

Well, I just got home from spending the past couple days in the hospital (again). I woke up at 0500 the other day in a small pool of blood. Like the previous bleeding episodes I've had, the bleeding wasn't too bad, and stopped on it's own. Thank God for that! The doc did make me stay in the hospital for a little while and ran MgSO4 on me for a day or so. THAT STUFF IS HORRID! OMG, it made me sooooo sick.

I'll write some more later. Right now I just feel really tired, worn out, ready to sleep for days. I just wanted to let you all know the latest happenings in the placenta previa saga. Thanks for caring you guys. . .

Yeah, I love a big chubby baby, lol. My last one was 9 lbs 7 oz. Not a record breaker, I know, but he was born occiput posterior & believe me....I FELT EVERY OUNCE OF HIS CHUBBINESS.

Hang in there, sounds like baby is doing fine. Glad you have had your course of betamethasone, it makes such a difference to the baby. (That's what you meant by steroids?). In the scheme of things, another six weeks would be wonderful! Hope you'll be able to stay home that long.

After many, many trips to the hospital for MgS04, my doc, the nurses and I finally worked out a system of pre-medicating with phenergan to help alleviate the MISERABLE side-effects of the mag. I also made my husband and mom promise not to visit until it was DC'd, as I simply could not tolerate any company. I hated to take anything "unnecessary", but I would not have been able to withstand the medication otherwise. I hope you never need it again, but keep this in mind in case you do.

Meanwhile, take good care of yourself, and that precious baby. Thanks for posting!

Hang in there.... I hope things get a little more tolerable for you. It is quite a sacrifice and lots and lots of discomfort.... but before you know it you will have a beautiful, chubby lil one :)
