Hey everyone, im new here and i am going to WCU tomorrow to figure out if i want to go there. I am having a difficult time deciding because i dont know ANYONE who has gone there.. and its a TON of money, so i dont wanna spend all that and then be screwed after school. soo my question to you all is if anyone has done this program? or is in it? can you tell me anything about it?? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you all so much.

west coast university aka rip off school..walk the other way. not worth the 111k for this school(bsn)!! lvn to rn bridge is no longer in exisistance!!they stopped it this month..i would not recommend this school.ontario campus specifically!

yeah it is!!!!, however if you are lvn it's the shortest way possible to get your rn. i did, even if i hated wcu oc campus. but what can you do, sit around waiting for community college. i waited 5 years, no luck. so now obtain my rn. i guess all the campus for wcu, have problems. but they do have a high pass rate for the boards. !!!

its not a very big rip off school if time means anything to you. 3 years vs like 8 waiting around for all those schools? yea, no thanks. im quite happy with my decision and they do have a high NCLEX pass rate so im going for it.

Good for you, I just fininshed Oct 30, just passed my boards Date 11-18-09, Yeah, it's beyond hard, I hated this school. However I made it, I attend LVN-RN Bridge. You are young and should pat yourself on the back for taking the courage!!! But let me warn you, It's very hard!!!! I don't know what campus you are going to attend. So the best too you!!!!!!

thank you! its nice to see some people are supportive of it and the only people who are supportive are they ones who went there and are now ahead of others waiting like 1000 yrs for other schools. time is money ya know? i know its going to be the hardest thing i ever do as far as education goes. but i am very excited and i gotta take my HESI next week! wish me luck!! did you take it? was it hard??

Good for you, I hope everything works out for you. I am glad I finished WCU, It was hard however, you do pass your Boards. I did!!!!!! I rather spend time studyingk, than doing nothing at all. I reached my Goal to become an RN and I did. Just hang in there, it is accelerated course, and a bit crazy. But don't let that stop you!!!!!!

this whole thread is saying west coast university bsn help! asking for feedback experience and so fourth. i didnt say anything but an experience i had.already took the entrance exam and passed! i couldve started months ago but i decided to wait and hear back from indiana university..my sister is in the b.s.n. program now..so depending on what she tells me maybe ill start in feb.its more of the school experience than the money. ive been through some schools loosing accredidation teachers getting fired and i just dont wanna run into a school that might head down that road. the lvn to rn already was taken away so thats why i say not worth it.. it works for those who want to rush in and get it done and theres nothing wrong with that!
