Promoting Health in Young Children-Project

Hello! I am currently in nursing school, and I need a little help from you all.

I have to do a project on Promoting Health in Young Children. Though I some what have an idea of what I want to do, I just wanted to ask you all some important things you think I should include.

For this project, we have to write a paper and do either a poster or powerpoint. (I am doing a poster.)

If you all would, please list some things you think I should include or possibly a helpful website. I appreciate it all so much!

Thank you!

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

I would concentrate on sugar maybe a colorful graph of nutritional info (calories, fat, CHO, sugar, fiber, protein). Salt isn't as big of an issue as sugar is in my experience.

Hello, everyone! Sorry I didn't get back with y'all yesterday. I was busy with homework. I have the rough draft due for this project tomorrow. I am working on it now. I am over half way through, and I have mentioned the importance of healthy eating habits and importance of sleep in young children. Now, I am typing about the importance of physical activity in young children, and I blown away by all the benefits of children exercising that greatly helps them in the long run.

For my draft, I was going to include the importance of keeping children up to date on their immunizations but decided not too. Well, I am at least not going to for the draft I might for the final draft! What do y'all think?

Again, I appreciate all the advice y'all have left for me, don't be afraid to tell me something important y'all think I should include or if y'all think I am doing something wrong.

(The poster I am doing isn't due until October 15th. I just decided to share with you all some of my ideas for it earlier.)

Unfortunately, this project only counts for a total of 2% of my final grade. So it won't help that much, but it could be the difference between a 74 and 75. (I am not sure if its the same in all nursing programs, but the program I am in requires a 75 and up to pass the course.)
