I have to write a paper(case study)
on what advise a health care provider would tell parents of a child going to public school for the first time. What advise to help the child be successful.
Where can I find this kind of information?
Thanks,

Your best resource is to ask health care providers in your area. The advice could vary based on geographic area. For example, a child attending public school in the center of an urban city would be different than a child attending school in a small, rural town. Try calling some local family doctor's offices and ask to speak with the NP or MD in charge of the practice. Pediatrician's offices would also be a good place to call. If you explain that you are a student and the reason you need the information, I'm sure many health care providers would be happy to help.

Agree- also, kids who are exposed to different things (farm animals/smog/poor nutrition/high stress neighborhoods/etc) will need different information.

...but you just know she's only gonna do the youtube thang, even though she'll learn so much more about the topic and about how to ask questions (a huge skill required in nursing) if she goes to ask an actual live person. :::crying2:sigh::
fortunately, when she writes her paper and has to say where she got her information, she'll have to put down, "uh, google and youtube," and will get a lower grade than someone who actually went to speak to a real school nurse.
sometimes you learn things that aren't explicitly stated in the syllabus. faculty are tricky that way:d.
