Nursing Students Student Assist

Published

Hi guys,

I'm new here and I need some help. I'm a nursing student in my med-surg semester, and I have a teaching assignment due on saturday about PEG tube sugery. I wanted to find a site that would help me in regards to teaching and teaching aids on the subject. Well any site that help with teaching anything, I found that teaching is a big part of nursing and it helps with compliance b/c it makes patient more in control of their care. Well, some of them at least. Anyway, any advice on were to post would be greatly appreicated. Thanks a lot for your time in this matter!

when it comes to patient teaching you should always think first of www.medlineplus.gov. that site is set up with lots of information and links for the general public as well as for health professionals, but for the general public first. a quick search for "peg tube" got me these two links that should be of help to you with patient teaching. i didn't look any further for more specific information for nursing. however, i'm willing to bet that if you look there is probably an online video of the procedure somewhere.
