issues with drawing med from vial

Recently, I've noticed I've been having a little trouble withdrawing meds from a vial. Even when I inject air first, I noticed when I withdraw, there is a lot of resistance and I feel like it wants to pull back in when I let go of the plunger to take off the vial after getting the amount I need.

Any advice or corrections to what I may be doing wrong?

The only advice I could give is to try to inject more air. Vials tend to be under vacuums and when you try to withdraw the medication it increases the vacuum. It may also help not to let go of the plunger before you extract the needle from the vial.

Ok, thanks a lot, I'll try it out again. They just really stress not touching the plunger but that would be really difficult for me (small hands) to hold some part of the syringe and some part of the round bottom of the plunger at the same time in order to free up my other hand to remove the vial.
