Can someone help me with this question. I have the answer already I just need help with working it out? Like showing all the work so I can try and understand where I went wrong. This is my first med surge class and this was a study question in ATI online. But it didn't show me how the get the right answer.

So this ... Cefazolin sodium (ancef) 2gm iv with piggy back in 100ml normal saline.... it's just 100 ml. I don't need to add in the 2gm or whatever that is?!

No conversion. The med Cefazolin sodium (ancef) 2gm is dissolved in 100 ml of NS. It's just 100ml. Yes, I think you are over thinking.

When you are adding medication to a fluid, you usually just count the fluid amount.
