Stressed out of my mind writing a paper...

Can anyone explain this theory (Imogene King) in lay terms? What is the purpose of it and why am I writing a paper about it? Speficially the part about interpersonal relationships. Isn't this common sense?

She explains that the nurse and patient go hand-in-hand in communicating information, set goals together, and then take actions to achieve those goals.

this is divided into 3 systems:: (1) the personal system - the nurse and the patient as an individual; (2) the interpersonal system - how the nurse and the individual interact with each other; and (3) the social system - how society acts upon the patient's goals, including family, religion, culture, etc..
