Hi :) I know this has been asked many times on the forums, but I really want to upgrade my Littmann SE II and was looking to buy one of the Cardio stethoscopes. Don't really care about the budget, since I believe that quality will definitely reap the benefits of spending a little bit more! I was looking into the Cardio III, but the tunable diaphragm is really intriguing me! If you have the Master or STC do you think the tunable diaphragms or the ergonomic design of the Master and STC is worth it over the Cardio III?

It depends on what you are using it for. If you are in a Cardiac ICU that does valve work, CABG etc the Master is a great stethoscope for picking up the finer heart tones. If not it ids not worth it and can be difficult to use and hear.

All good general one is the Cardiology III

I don't quite trust myself with the tunable diaphragm so I recently converted my cardio III back to a traditional bell. Overall I love my cardio III.

Either way I don't think you can go wrong. It was after borrowing a coworkers master cardio that I decided to upgrade mine from the classic II.

That's what I was thinking @anh06005, I didn't know if I would trust myself either with the tunable diaphragm!

Thanks @Esme12, I'm not on a cardiac intensive floor at the moment. I'm not sure what floor I'll end up in after I graduate, but I want to make sure I don't miss any of those adventitious sounds! what did you mean by difficult to use?
