Propet Shoes for Clinicals?

Our program requires all-white shoes (seems we're not the only ones). I was looking at two different pairs of Propet shoes that have good reviews:

Reviews seem to show that they are really comfy, with the added bonus of being washable.

The other pair are a LOT cuter (a Mary Jane style) and also rated to be super-comfy, but I am wondering if the openness at the top will be a negative?

Anyone have any experience w/these or any other Propet shoes for nursing? Thx!!

If I were you, I'd go w/ the closed top. You just never ever know when you are going to get blood, pee, poop, or vomit dripped on the top of your foot....better your shoe catch it than your sock. :)

I have the shoe in your top link. Comfy in the store and for about 4 hours into my shift, then my feet hurt! Hurt like a pinched nerve type hurt. Still all pretty and new, but can't stand them. I think they just hit me wrong maybe.

You've no doubt make your purchase by now. Hope you found some you like. I love my crocs (without holes) but schools probably won't let you have those.

My feet have never hurt as much as they did when I wore Propet shoes to work. They might be okay for clinical if you're working the usual six-hours-then-post-conference routine, but if you're going to be in them for more than that I'd be concerned.
