the other day, i received some new scrubs in the mail, made by various companies. i read the labels (and the labels on my old scrubs) and they were all made in vietnam, korea, and china.

if every nurse and scrub-wearing health care worker wrote to their scrub company of choice and demanded a product made in the us, we'd be doing our part to help the economy!

I think Green Scrubs look awesome! You can check them out at www.scrubs.com Yes, they are American Built! Plus, they donate 5% of there profits to charities which is cool.

I do my best to buy American made products. I grew up in a factory town and saw alot of people lose there jobs in the recession of '91 (including my father).

I also wear New Balances to work, which are made in New England.

Another company with US-made scrubs. The quality is excellent - I've ordered from them twice. They will also alter the pant/sleeve length for shorter or taller folks.

I will second that. I buy all of my scrubs there and receive many compliments. I especially enjoy their cargo pants.

I couldn't agree more that it's important to support American workers. Nurses could play a huge part in putting manufacturing back on the U.S. map. I have found two companies that make their scrubs in America.

They sell multiple brands, but the "Green Scrubs" line is made in San Francisco. They incredibly affordable and comfortable. It's very nice to call a phone number and have someone you can understand is very helpful on the phone. I love their cargo pant.

They, too, sell multiple brands, but the "Scrub Med" line is made in Portland. I wear their flare leg drawstring cargo pant. What's great about them is that once you know your size, they can completely customize them for the perfect fit. Everything is on their website but I call their 800 number so I can talk to someone and they've always been incredibly nice. It makes me feel good to know that my purchase is going directly to an American worker just trying to their support their family as I am.

On a side note, I also buy my shoes from Klogs.com. They're very similar to the more expensive, imported Dansko brand but are more affordable. Their polyurethane line is completely made in the USA. I personally like them because they're antimicrobial, non-marking, and I can easily wipe them off after my shift.
