WOuld any Deaconess students share their scholarship secrets?

I would be grateful to know of any scholarships or grants you all have received for Deaconess, or any nursing program for that matter. I've been researching on the internet FOR DAYS, and don't seem to qualify for anything. ( I just need a full-time working mom with 2 jobs, full-time student, have-no-extra money to spare type of scholarship!) LOL

I need to find a way to pay for some of that HUGE tuition!

You mentioned you were a mother...I am not sure if you know this but you will probably receive grants from the government. They will be included in your financial aid packet b/c when you apply for FAFSA & all of that you are considered for grants. That is the only way I make it through school!

I am not sure I follow on this one. I have been a mother for a long time, also have one child in college at the same time and we never heard anything about such a grant. I was under the impression that Grants only apply if you live in the state of the school you attend.

Could you enlighten me?

Maybe they are for the state, but there are education grants for college when you are out of state. I went to college in VT when I lived in NY and had some grants to pay for it. Federal Pell Grants are the ones I get because of my daughter. Here are some links and I hope they help, they should at least have some numbers for you to call and get more info. Good Luck!
