University of Wisconsin Accelerated BSN and Licensure Limitations?

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Hi, I'm researching this program and would like feedback from other students. I live in CA, which is one of the states that is not approved for the clinical portion of the program. I am considering moving to Oregon, but would like to the ability to work in any state I choose. Are there limitations to where a grad can get licensed in relation to the approved states? Are there ways around this? (For example, continue with a MSN in another program and then be eligible?)

I like this program because I have small children and want to be home as much as possible doing my studies.

Only if your MSN takes you to a higher level of licensure, e.g., nurse practitioner. A state board of nursing will always consider the source of your RN, no matter what further degrees you obtain if they don't require boards.
