RN-to-BSN thru College Network: Anyone?

Is anyone currently enrolled OR a graduate from the College Network's RN-BSN program through Regis University (Denver, CO)?

If so, please enlighten me on what that experience was like for you. How were the online courses organized? Were you prepared for exams? Were tests for the core nursing courses online or hand-written? What kind of clinicals were required (preceptors at your employer?)?

There are a bunch of older threads here about folks' experiences with College Network -- it would be well worth your time to do a search and review them before you make a decision. You are aware, right, that they (College Network) are not a degree-granting institution, but just a publishing firm that sells you study materials that are supposed to help you get through the program at the actual school from which you get the degree? You are paying them to be a "middleman" between you and the school -- some people feel that's worthwhile, others don't. You'll want to be cautious about making a decision, because it's v. difficult to get out of their contract once you've signed up.

Yes I am aware of this. I have also searched old threads already for experience with the College Network, and all I have been able to find is people looking to do the LPN-RN program, which does not at all pertain to myself. :) I'd like to know about someone that is doing the RN-BSN program specifically.

Have you found out any info regarding the RN-BSN program, I am curious too. Also, wanted to know if they take stafford loans.

Hi,

I am a diploma RN that is planning to enroll in the Regis Univ RN-BSN.

I am using College Network's modules to test out of my pre-requisites.

I have taken 4 exams so far and passed using only their modules. Yes, it is very expensive. But, for me, it works. And, my employer reimburses me for the modules and exam fees.

I have one more pre-req to pass before I can apply to Regis. I have talked with an admissions counsellor at Regis several times via email. He has been very helpful and quickly responds to my emails. One small piece of advice I would like to give is: If you have a question about the

curriculum and what classes you need, please speak directly with Regis. The times I have asked College Network any questions about

the curriculum, they always tell me that I need more classes and then want to sell me more modules. I always get a more accurate answer from Regis.

I'm considering the RN-to-MSN program at Regis University. I heard about them through College Network, but the University seems very easy to work with directly. Will post more as I go along.
