So I finally made it through my first remedial class at IWU.

This week, we started a new class and it is a totally different ball game. The instructor does not spoon feed, has given deadlines for everything, and states that if it isn't done, credit isn't awarded. She is on the ball, ready to go.

We had several folks drop out of our first cohort, and for the life of me, I can't understand WHY. That was the easiest class I have ever taken in my life. I ended up with a 99% (I didn't participate in a couple of discussion board topics due to sheer boredom) and I was nearly insulted.

I am feeling 95% better in my decision, and hope that this continues.

Rn-BSN and I find it to be super easy. That's just me.

My weak point is writing, I don't know if it trues that u have to write a ton of papers for the RN-BSN program or not???

I am also enrolled in Indiana Wesleyan University SON RNBSN program. Although I don't think that it is super easy, I have been able to pass all of my classes with all A's. It is pretty heavy on writing papers, but if you stick to the instructions, deadlines, and grading grids, you will be fine. Another thing is that the school is pretty heavy on power point presentations and group work. IWU's nursing program is definitely unique--and you'll not only learn about nursing, but also a lot about yourself as well. Three classes to go...

Is this a distance program? Do you have to be an RN already, or do they have a program similar to excelsior? I am just starting out- probably with excelsior but looking for alternatives as well.

Linda, it's an RN to BSN program, so you do have to be an RN already.
