I have been studying Anatomy & Physiology for 3 months, and I just can't grasp it. In LPN school I got all A's (95 and above) on all the tests and my final. I am feeling real stupid right about now. I have the TCN learning module, the A&P coloring book, SG 101, Lisa Arends A&P CD Rom, and Cliffs study solver A&P, but nothing seems to help! I just get overwhelmed and nauseated. I have 3 months left until my deadline to take this test, but really don't want to spend sooo much time on 1 subject. What should I do?? Any advice welcome.

Have you taken the EC practice exams yet? Remember, this exam covers the entirety of A&P I and A&P II ... it's a lot of material, so it does get a little overwhelming. Make sure you break it down into manageable sections -- if you try to wrap your arms around the whole thing at once, it will be too much!

Thanks for your reply, LunahRN. I have been trying to take it in chunks and I did take Excelsior's practice exams (my lowest practice exam scores to date). I guess I am just going to have to take my time and if it takes another 3 months then it is what it is. I really just want to pass this test! Thanks again.

My practice scores weren't great, either -- in the 60s, I think? I got a B on the exam, and was thrilled with that! After I studied for about 6 months, off and on, I finally just scheduled the thing to give myself a deadline; otherwise I could have studied forever and not felt ready!! LOL. I found the exam to be heavy on physiology, but also assumed that you knew the anatomy. Good luck!!
