Anyone use a digital voice recorder?

Does anyone use one of these for their notes? I learn best by hearing my notes read, I usually use a tape but I'm wondering if a digital voice recorder would be good for me. Please let me know of your experiences. This way I can listen (to myself..since no one else listens to me :wink2:) to my notes to prepare me for the tests.

I used one in LPN school. It was great and I was able to record all the reviews that the teacher gave while everyone wrote like crazy and missed stuff. I think mine cost $40.Got it at Best Buy.
