hi, i have been looking through the threads and noticed that allot of the threads are from before 2007 so i'm looking for some current ec or recent grads to help with some questions i have! how did you like it? how long did it take you? what was a round about total cost for the program? are the cpne's still as horrifying as some people have mentioned? will you be going back for your bsn through ec? any employers question your schooling? did you do their payment plan or straight cash?i'm very interested in this program but would like any more updated information i can get some! thank you for your time and any information about ec would be greatly appreciated!!!!:)

Specializes in Telemetry.

I just graduated on May 20, 2011. I enrolled May 2010, so it took me exactly a year to complete. I took all of my nursing exams in under 2 months but I was also completing my pre-reqs at my community college. I LOVED Excelsiors program and would highly recommend it. The CPNE is a nightmare (stress wise, not content) but other than that I think it's great. I plan on continuing with EC for my BSN. Message me if you have any questions.

Specializes in LTC, Family Practice, Meg/Surg.

I, too graduated on May 20, 2011. I enrolled in Sept '09 and finished everything but the CPNE in December '10. Then, passed the CPNE in March. I also took all of my electives at a local community college, so I just had my nursing courses to take. I agree the CPNE was very stressful, but doable if you study hard enough. I really enjoyed Excelsior's program, as well. I decided to go with for my BSN, because of cost, but I highly recommend their program to all LPN's! (or paramedics :) )
