Hello, everyone! I was wondering how problematic a misdeamor charge from 7 years ago will be for me to get into nursing school? It was a theft charge from when I was 17. I'm about to finish up all of my pre-reqs with a 4.0, but I'm worried about my background. Thanks for any help!

I would consult with a lawyer: given that you were 17 at the time of the crime, you may have been considered a juvenile and so may be able to have your record sealed. The lawyer can investigate that possibility and if it's doable, try to make it happen.

Did you ever submit a declaratory order to the nursing board. I recently had to send one and awaiting the results. Just had question if you had to go through the process?
