Juvenile Offenses and Background Checks

Hi everyone, I tried to look through the forum but didn't find anything that specifically answered what I was looking for. If this question has already been answered, I apologize for double posting, and please point me to that thread so I can learn the answer.

In the state of Florida, do you have to report juvenile offenses on job applications?

What about applications to the VA (a federal job)?

To clear things up, I'm specifically asking about juvenile felonies (charged as a juvenile).

Thank you!

I'm sorry that I can't help you with Florida but I will give you my experience with this matter.

In Ohio they do not give juvenile felonies they give you the statement" blank was found to be a juvenile delinquent. If charged as an adult this offense would be equivalent to a third degree felony".

My lawyer said that since it is worded this way that I am technically not a felon and do not have to list it on applications for jobs or for applying for license. Now if it wouldn't of said that and would of said that I was actually charged with a felony then I must report it, regardless if it doesn't show up on background checks.
