Could DWSL stop me from getting my nursing license?

Nurses Criminal

Published

Hi, I'm currently in school to become an LPN in the state of Fl and set to graduate in August. I just checked my states BON website and saw that pleading guilty/not guilty/no contest to driving with a suspended license is considered criminal history. I thought this was just a traffic offense and didn't think I would have to report it. I did have to go to court after being pulled over and plead guilty/no contest and told I have to pay court costs but I was not arrested. I have went to court for this 2 times, the first in 2013 and the second last year. To be honest my insurance is really expensive, and I am only 23 now. I know this is not an excuse, but this is the only reason my license ever got suspended. I just want to know if anyone has had a similar situation and still have been able to obtain their nursing license. Though its considered a criminal offense, I know Im not a criminal. I've never been in trouble for anything and I've never been arrested. Im just curious ad to how the BON may view this and if I am able to get me license will this be attached and look bad to any future employers. thanks!
