Assault with bodily injury

Nurses Criminal

Published

I have been a RN for over 10 years. I have a MSN.

Last year, my 16 year old step child attacked me and beat me in the face. in self defense, I pushed her against a wall and held down her arms, which left a scratch and a bruise on her arm. I called the police to have her removed from my home and she made up some story being the compulsive liar that she is..and I was the one arrested.

Long story short, I accepted a plea bargain for deferred adjudication. My nursing license is currently inactive. I chose not to renew until I complete my community supervision and have a copy of my order for non disclosure to send to the board.

Is there any hope for me in getting my license back?? I am in Texas.

I am completely devastated and feel very hopeless.
