Student doing a project presentation on Nursing Informatics

I am assigned a project to present nursing informatics.

I dont know where to start...

I'm planning on making an entertaining video instead of powerpoint presentations because a lot of my classmates have made boring powerpoints already and I want to be different since we arent limited to just using powerpoint presentations.

What I need help with is that i need information, just basic, general information about nursing informatics.

All I know is that as an nurse informatic, you deal more with the documentation and technological side. you make softwares for better nursing documentation and stuff like that.

So I have some questions and I hope you have answers.

How can one become a nurse informatic?

What is the general job description of a nurse informatic? any interesting stories?

As for my video, Im thinking of filming scenes for proper documentation. like proper charting and stuff like that.

Im still short on info and video time. Am I missing info? what should I add?

also, do you have any more ideas as to what I should add to my video as well?

Have no info on your informatics specifics, but I do have 2 suggestions/recommendations for your project. Keep your presentation direct & focused - not wandering. A tendency is to keep on adding more and more and more info. Then it's too unwieldy.

Secondly, watch your time. You don't want to drag out your project.

I do like your idea about presenting scenarios with opportunities for required documentation. Like a fall scene with multiple things that should be charted on.
