Has your wife completed the program? I am very interested in this school, so I'd like to see if she was satisfied with the PPTS Davao program.

My wife just had a baby here in the US so returning for the clinical part of the program really isn't practical but her sister is still in the program there and likes it and is doing well. Her sister says there are a lot of Phil-ams who are in the program, US tuition is much higher and many schools in US have long waiting lists. She says some of the second generation Phil-ams only know Englisn, no Tagalog or Cebuano.

Congratulations on baby! So your sister-in-law is there now? She completed the PPTS Davao online program and is finishing up with her clinicals ? The clinical part is 2-3 months correct? I would just like some feedback from someone who is currently in the program or has recently completed.

    I appreciate your prompt reply.

My sister in law did two semesters online and is now in Davao attending live classes (3rd semester) and has done some clinical work in a variety of locations in Davao area. She has enjoyed it so far.

Being an online student is not as easy as it sounds. It requires a lot of discipline and motivation. But if you make the most out of it, you could really be competitive in your field. One great advantage of it is having a one-on-one interaction with your instructors, which is really good because you could ask any question if you don't understand a topic without having to mind about what your classmates would think.

I'm currently a student in PPTS-Cebu. I'm done with my online and I'm currently in Cebu for my clinicals. Although I've encountered some difficulties in the past, this has been a great experience so far.

If you are planning on working in the US, many states, including CA require theory and clinicals to be completed concurrently. You may not be able to work in the state you wish,.

While there are states in the US that do not recognize online nursing degrees, there are others that does. That's why it is very important for students to review their state's policies before enrolling to an online program. States that allow online degrees only require that the school is accredited by the country where it was taken. PPTS-Cebu, so with the other PPTS Schools in the country, is TESDA accredited.

TESda is for pn programs, last I heard there is no LPN license is the phll. Some may have gotten A license in the US, but it probably a mistake.

Yes, TESDA is for PN and ASN programs. As far as I know, everyone who applied for an NCLEX-PN was given an ATT. It can't be a mistake since acquiring the license is not a walk in park process. Besides, one must pass NCLEX in order to get a license.

Nurses who graduated from accredited BSN programs are being denied access for NCLEX in CA based on the fact they didn't have clinical and theory concurrently. There is much written on this on this site.

Luckily I'm not from CA and I don't intend to practice in CA.
